Ford Mustang Cobra Jet is strictly meant for track and is equivalent on the drag racing of Mustang FR500S.
Ford Mustang Cobra Jet which also known as the Mustang FR500CJ is the latest addition to the Ford Racing family and will joins the Mustang FR500C, Mustang FR500S, and Mustang FR500GT.
Ford Mustang Cobra Jet comes equipped with a 9-inch rear axle assembly, one piece driveshaft, stainless steel racing headers, a specially tuned suspension with adjustable dampners, a Cobra Jet bell housing, a tweaked 5.4-liter Cobra Jet engine with cold air induction, and also drag slicks. With these numerous improvements on its features, Ford Mustang Cobra Jet will become a competitive racing car.
However, Ford Mustang Cobra Jet also offers optional transmission depend on the personal preference. Owners may choose between a 6-speed manual transmission or 3-speed automatic transmission.
